Biographies of Dr. Gary P. Fish & Dr. Carolyn S. Fish

Dr. Gary began his chiropractic career as a patient at the age of eight.  As a child, he was aware of the fact that he and his family received wonderful results from chiropractic when other forms of health care had proven ineffective.  He was so pleased, as a matter of fact, that he enrolled in Chiropractic College in Georgia immediately upon graduation from college.  After becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1983, Dr. Gary decided not to return to his family home in New York, and instead, set up a successful practice in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Dr. Carolyn started out to do something else, careerwise, and later decided chiropractic was a health care science that more accurately reflected her own value system.  Prior to this understanding, she understood that the body is an amazing, intelligent being with wondrous recuperative powers.  After meeting Dr. Gary, however, she learned that what she knew about the body and its’ healing ability was neatly defined and packaged under the name of chiropractic.  So, she enrolled at Life College in Georgia and graduated as a chiropractor in 1993.

To share their enthusiasm with each other and their community, Drs. Gary and Carolyn chose to open up a new practice together in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.  Fish Family Chiropractic was then established in the summer of 1994.

As per the name Fish Family Chiropractic, our practice is dedicated to creating a healing environment whereby patients, from birth throughout life, can comfortably get chiropractic adjustments that will remove interference in their bodies and allow life to flow from above down and inside out, the true healing occurs.  After all, the power that made the body is the power that heals the body…as long as there is nothing interfering with that process.

What interferes with the body’s ability to heal, repair and regenerate is called a Subluxation.  This is a misalignment of the spinal column that chokes off the nerve impulse and creates an unhealthy body living in a state of dis-ease.  A spinal subluxation is like a dimmer on a light switch.  Neither allow full expression.

A body that is fully expressing itself has 100% life.  This body can replace sick cells with healthy cells, beat the heart, digest food, produce pain killers, insulin, antihistamines as well as fevers that change the environment so that it becomes unfavorable to foreign invaders.  A healthy body, then, functions the way it was designed to as a self-healing organism.  A healthy body has its’ power on!
